From Mediterranean, Asian or Pacific flavours to modern British styles, Chef Andy Snell and his team will prepare exciting, contemporary food for any occasion from corporate events to private parties. While catering for all tastes we particularly pride ourselves in our ability to produce delicious vegetarian and vegan food without compromising flavour or quality.
Papaya draws on Andyʼs wide-ranging international experience but equally values its local identity. The quality of ingredients is always a priority with many of the herbs, vegetables and fruit used in our kitchen coming from Andyʼs own garden in Northumberlandʼs Tyne Valley.
Chef Andy Snell has a wealth of catering experience, having worked in restaurants and hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Britain. In 2007 Andy established Papaya to provide an exciting and fresh approach to catering, creating individual, innovative and exciting menus for customers in Newcastle, Northumberland and the North East of England.
Andy teaches cookery classes for people of all ages and abilities, covering topics such as Street food, International and Vegetarian Cookery. He also works in schools throughout Northumberland, helping children to develop their skills, confidence and understanding of food and cookery.
In collaboration with horticulturalist Karen Phillips, Andy delivers a range of cookery tutorials and short courses at the idyllic rural setting of Linnels Farm.
I would thoroughly recommend Papaya – Andy was really friendly and helpful, coming up with all sorts of menu suggestions for me to chose from, and the food was delicious. It took all the stress of food preparation out of the party so we could all kick back and relax: perfect.
